Job summary

Skilled Wound Care in Rockville, MD is seeking a General Surgeon to lead wound care initiatives in skilled nursing facilities across the area. This role emphasizes clinical autonomy with a no-call, Monday–Friday schedule and dedicated time for patient-focused care.

Requirements include an MD/DO from an accredited program and an unrestricted MD license (or eligibility); a DEA license or eligibility is also required. Training in wound care is provided.

Qualifications

• MD or DO from an accredited institution.
• Unrestricted medical license in the state of practice (or eligibility).
• DEA license or eligibility to obtain one.
• Open to surgeons from all backgrounds; no prior wound care experience required.

Responsibilities

• Surgical and sharp debridement and bedside procedures
• Evaluation and treatment of chronic, non-healing and complex wounds
• Advanced dressings and specialized wound protocols
• Collaborative care in skilled nursing facilities and the post-acute setting, where you follow patients through healing
