Skilled Wound Care is hiring a General Surgeon in Sacramento, CA to lead wound care initiatives in skilled nursing facilities. This no-call, Monday–Friday role offers clinical autonomy and maintains surgical skills in bedside settings.

The position supports surgical debridement, wound evaluation, and advanced dressing protocols, with a focus on reducing call burdens and preserving work-life balance while delivering high-quality patient care.

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school.
• Unrestricted license to practice medicine in the state of practice (or eligibility).
• DEA license or eligibility to obtain one.
• Open background welcomed; no prior wound care experience required; training provided.

Responsabilités

• Surgical and bedside debridement and other procedures as needed.
• Evaluation and treatment of chronic, non-healing and complex wounds.
• Advanced dressings and specialized wound protocols.
• Collaborative care in skilled nursing facilities and post-acute settings, following patient healing progression.
