Job summary

Skilled Wound Care is seeking an Acute Care Surgeon in San Jose, CA to work as a wound care physician and lead wound care initiatives in skilled nursing facilities. This no-call, Monday–Friday surgeon role lets you maintain clinical autonomy without 24-hour trauma shifts.

You’ll perform bedside debridement, manage chronic wounds, and use advanced dressings within a supportive network. The position offers a competitive salary range, flexible employment type, and the chance to impact patient lives

Qualifications

• MD or DO from an accredited institution.
• Unrestricted medical license in the state of practice (or eligibility).
• DEA license or eligibility to obtain one.
• No previous wound care experience required; we provide comprehensive wound care training.

Responsibilities

• Perform surgical and bedside debridement and related procedures.
• Evaluate and treat chronic, non-healing, complex wounds.
• Apply advanced dressings and wound protocols.
• Collaborate with nursing facilities in post-acute care.
• Provide patient-centered care with autonomy.
