Job summary

Skilled Wound Care in Los Angeles, CA is seeking an Acute Care Surgeon to lead wound care initiatives in skilled nursing facilities and surrounding settings. This role emphasizes a no-call, Monday–Friday lifestyle while keeping your surgical skills active in a uniquely autonomous environment.

Ideal candidates hold an MD or DO with an active state medical license (DEA credentials optional) and are open to training in wound care.

Qualifications

• MD/DO degree from an accredited institution.
• Unrestricted medical license in the state of practice (or eligibility to obtain one).
• DEA license or eligibility to obtain one.
• No prior wound care experience required; comprehensive wound care training is provided.

Responsibilities

• Surgical and sharp debridement and other bedside procedures.
• Evaluation and treatment of chronic, non-healing and complex wounds.
• Advanced dressings and specialized wound protocols.
• Collaborative care in skilled nursing facilities and post-acute settings, following patients through healing.
