Job summary

ZincFive, Inc. in Oregon is seeking a Customer Engineer to serve as the primary technical interface between customers and the company across NiZn battery systems deployed in data centers.

This role combines NiZn expertise, customer engagement, system troubleshooting, and project support to ensure testing, deployment, operation, and optimization of NiZn systems supporting critical power infrastructure. The ideal candidate has experience with NiZn or comparable industrial battery technologies, UPS

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Mechanical/Energy Systems or related field.
• 5+ years in customer engineering, technical support, field engineering, or power systems.
• Experience with industrial battery systems, UPS, or data center infrastructure.
• Ability to read electrical schematics and technical specs.
• Willingness to travel up to 30% domestically and internationally.
• Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Serve as technical contact for customers during design, deployment, commissioning, and operations.
• Provide guidance on NiZn system architecture, battery characteristics, monitoring, UPS integration, operation, and maintenance.
• Lead troubleshooting efforts and coordinate with internal engineering teams.
• Support testing, installation, commissioning, and acceptance testing.
• Plan and lead customer-facing testing, test readiness reviews, and procedure alignment.
• Develop technical documentation, deployment guides, and training materials.
