Job summary

ZincFive, Inc. is seeking an on-site Application Test Engineer in Tualatin, Oregon. You will design, execute, and optimize tests for NiZn battery systems, partnering with cross-functional teams to deliver reliable technical assessments for product applications.

You will analyze data, prepare reports, and present findings to stakeholders while maintaining safety standards and project schedules in a collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related technical field.
• 3+ years of test engineering experience or a related role.
• Experience with electrochemical energy storage systems (cell to system).
• Proficiency in data analysis and standard statistical methods.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute test plans to evaluate novel customer applications for NiZn battery systems.
• Create test plans aligned with customer, product, and functional requirements.
• Define testing requirements and specify test stands, fixtures, and equipment.
• Evaluate new product application requests for feasibility and requirements.
• Set up and adapt test stands and measurement equipment for accuracy.
• Install and integrate devices under test (DUTs) in test setups.
• Develop, implement, and validate automated test algorithms for data integrity.
• Lead safety and risk assessments with internal stakeholders.
