Job summary

ZincFive seeks a Customer Engineer to serve as the primary technical interface with customers for NiZn battery systems deployed in data centers. Based on-site at ZincFive headquarters in Tualatin, OR, you will oversee design, deployment, testing, and operation while collaborating with engineering, product management, field service, sales, and operations.

The role demands 5+ years in related fields, knowledge of NiZn or similar batteries, UPS architectures, and strong communication.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in customer engineering, technical support, field engineering, or power systems.
• Experience with NiZn or comparable industrial battery technologies and UPS architectures.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills for customer interactions.
• Willingness to travel up to 30% domestically and internationally.

Responsibilities

• Serve as technical point of contact during design, deployment, commissioning and operation.
• Provide guidance on NiZn system architecture, battery management and UPS integration.
• Lead troubleshooting with internal engineering teams and coordinate resolutions.
• Support testing, installation, commissioning and customer acceptance testing.
• Develop deployment guides, operating procedures and training materials.
• Mentor field technicians and contribute to product feedback for development.
