Job summary

West Virginia University in Morgantown seeks a Post Doctoral Fellow in the Department of Physiology, Pharmacology and Toxicology. The position focuses on NIH-funded translational research to understand environmental exposures and innate signaling in lung injury and repair.

The successful candidate will perform experimental work, analyze data, and supervise undergraduate and graduate researchers. Prior training in toxicology or related biomedical fields is required.

Qualifications

• Ph.D. in toxicology, cell and molecular biology, immunology, developmental biology, regenerative medicine, or a relevant biomedical field is required.
• A minimum of one year hands-on experience in animal models of pulmonary diseases and/or cell culture techniques is required.
• All qualifications must be met by the time of employment.

Responsibilities

• Perform experimental work and data analysis, oversee and assist undergraduate and graduate researchers.
• Work with mice, including handling, breeding, dosing, and molecular biology skills.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to advance the project.
