Job summary

West Virginia University is inviting applications for a Post Doctoral Fellow in the Department of Physiology, Pharmacology and Toxicology. The NIH-funded translational project investigates environmental exposures and innate immune and epithelial signaling in lung injury and repair, with the Hussain lab's work described online.

The fellow will perform experimental work and data analysis, supervise undergraduate and graduate researchers, and work with mice using molecular biology and immunology

Qualifications

• PhD in a relevant biomedical field required.
• At least 1 year of hands-on experience in animal models of pulmonary diseases and/or cell culture.
• All qualifications must be met by the time of employment.

Responsibilities

• Perform experimental work.
• Perform experimental data analysis and supervise undergraduate/graduate researchers.
• Work with mice and apply molecular biology techniques.
