Job summary

The PLACE Launchpad is seeking Overnight Safety staff to protect residents and property during late-night hours. You will monitor youth, enforce rules, respond to alarms, and maintain logs to ensure a secure environment in a residential facility for youth experiencing homelessness.

Your role requires calm judgment, clear communication, and the ability to work independently in a challenging, fast-paced setting while upholding privacy and safety standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Must pass federal and state background checks.
• Strong judgment and clear communication under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Monitor youth during overnight shifts to ensure safety.
• Enforce facility rules and guidelines consistently.
• Address immediate needs or concerns of residents.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization within the facility.
• Uphold confidentiality and privacy standards.
• Conduct hourly foot patrols of the Launchpad facility areas.
• Respond to alarms and investigate disturbances.
• Maintain shift logs and incident reports with accurate times.
• Escalate incidents to emergency services when necessary.
• Inspect for theft or damage; enforce safety protocols.
• Conduct hourly safety inspections; report hazards.
