Job summary

Baylor Scott & White Medical Center – Waxahachie is expanding with the 4 East Med Surg/Telemetry Trauma unit, seeking an RN to help build a high-quality inpatient care environment on a 25-bed unit. Night shifts, full-time, 3x12s, 7P-7A, in a dynamic setting.

You will provide patient care for medical-surgical and trauma patients, demonstrate strong assessment and critical thinking, and collaborate with an engaged team in a faith-based hospital culture that supports growth and development.

Qualifications

• Required: Inpatient acute care Med Surg experience
• Current RN licensure
• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
• Passion for teamwork and patient-centered care

Responsibilities

• Conduct detailed clinical assessments and create care plans. Prioritize patient and family needs and document findings.
• Educate patients, families, nurses, and community members to empower better healthcare decisions.
• Delegate tasks carefully based on condition and team competencies and follow up.
• Develop and evaluate care plans to achieve desired outcomes while maintaining safety and quality.
