Job summary

Baylor Scott & White Health in Waxahachie, TX announces the launch of 4 East, a new Med Surg/Telemetry Trauma unit offering a collaborative, high-quality patient care environment. Nurses will contribute to building a brand-new unit and support a growing community with trauma-focused care.

The RN on the 4 East unit will play a key role in patient assessments, care planning, and teamwork, with emphasis on critical thinking and safety.

Qualifications

• Inpatient acute care Med Surg experience required.
• Current RN licensure.
• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
• Teamwork and patient-centered care.

Responsibilities

• Conduct detailed clinical assessments and develop care plans.
• Lead and participate in collaborative patient care on a trauma-focused unit.
• Educate patients and families about care plans and post-discharge needs.
• Delegate tasks and coordinate with nursing staff to ensure safe, effective care.
• Maintain documentation per policy and nursing standards.
