Job summary

Grand Traverse Resort and Spa is seeking a Daily Revenue Clerk to audit nightly revenue and record daily transactions across Spa Grand Traverse, Golf Operations, Retail, Food & Beverage, and other departments. You will balance postings, process card payments, and ensure accurate daily figures for leadership review.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, proficiency with Excel and Word, and strong numerical and communication skills.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED required.
Prior accounting office experience preferred.
College accounting courses helpful.
Strong computer skills in Excel and Word.
Calculator skills a must.

Responsibilities

Retrieve daily postings from staff who entered financial transactions.
Balance and record postings in resort areas including Spa Grand Traverse, Golf Operations, Retail, F&B, Accounting, Membership and Group Billing, Audio/Visual.
Close open outlet tickets and run the register.
Process and submit for payment all credit card transactions.
Post room tax and fees to occupied rooms nightly.
Record cash, checks, gift cards, gift certificates and credit card transactions.
Pull daily and month-end reports to balance data for gifts, certificates and vouchers.
Ensure accuracy of final numbers for leadership review.
Cross-train in other accounting areas to assist coworkers.
Maintain accounting deadlines and assist with daily, weekly and monthly reports.
