Job summary

Federal Express Corporation is seeking a Yard Switcher in Bemidji, MN to move trailers between yards and doors and assist with manual package handling. This role involves lifting, pushing and sorting packages safely and efficiently.

You will communicate with supervision to coordinate movements, perform pre- and post-trip checks, and operate basic equipment. Work is Monday–Friday, 2:00am–9:00am, with pay between $20.50 and $21.50 per hour and standard equal opportunity employment guidelines.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid driver’s license and maintain a DOT file.
• Ability to lift, push, pull and sort packages safely.
• Ability to understand and follow safety procedures.
• Ability to operate basic equipment such as scanners and carts.

Responsibilities

• Move trailers between yard and doors as described.
• Coordinate trailer movements with management.
• Document trailer moves using Yard Management System or switcher cards.
• Perform pre- and post-trip inspections on equipment.
• Assist with package handling as needed.
