Job summary

Maersk is seeking a Yard Driver to safely move trailers, trucks, and equipment within the yard and facilities. The role involves positioning trailers at docks, coordinating with warehouse and transport teams, and maintaining orderly yard operations.

Responsibilities include operating yard tractors, inspecting equipment, recording movements, and ensuring compliance with safety and DOT requirements. Strong English communication and ability to work overtime are required.

Qualifications

• Experience operating yard tractors, hostlers, trailers, or similar equipment.
• CDL may be required based on operational needs.
• Forklift certification or ability to obtain certification may be required.
• Strong attention to detail and safety.
• Ability to work independently and follow directions.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate yard trucks, hostlers, tractors, and other equipment.
• Move trailers between parking areas, docks, staging areas, and maintenance locations.
• Connect and disconnect trailers per procedures.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of equipment.
• Document trailer movements and yard activity accurately.
• Communicate with dispatch and warehouse teams about locations and priorities.
• Keep yard organized, secure, and safe, complying with DOT and safety rules.
