Job summary

Knoxville Utilities Board (KUB) is seeking a Network Operations Center Technician to deliver friendly, first-call support for internet, phone, and TV services in a busy call center. You will troubleshoot and educate customers, guide through steps, and document solutions in our ticketing system.

This role requires availability for nights and weekends, a High School diploma, strong customer service, and a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Strong customer service and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to support technical equipment and devices.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Night and weekend work is required.

Responsibilities

• Provide first-call resolution for service installations and equipment.
• Document interactions and solutions in a ticket-based system.
• Monitor and escalate outages from the NOC as needed.
• Explain troubleshooting steps to customers in a clear, friendly manner.
• Assist with in-home networking devices and Wi‑Fi access points.
