Job summary

US Foods is hiring Warehouse Team Members to join a safety-driven, high-volume operation. You will select customer orders, build and wrap pallets, and ensure accuracy and on-time delivery in a multi-temperature environment.

The role requires night shifts (Sun-Thu), physical endurance, and experience with pallet jacks or order selecting software. Training starts with an 8 AM day shift during the first week, then 5:30 PM shifts.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read and communicate in English to attend trainings and complete reports.
• Able to work 8+ hour night shifts, typically Sunday - Thursday; weekends/holidays as needed.
• Recent experience in high endurance or highly physical activity is preferred.
• Experience selecting large scale orders in a warehouse or distribution center.
• Experience operating motorized pallet jack or similar equipment.

Responsibilities

• Safely and accurately select customer orders.
• Build and wrap pallets to meet weekly productivity/accuracy standards.
• Perform pre-shift equipment checks and safely operate an electric pallet jack.
• Move products from racks to pallets as directed by order selecting software and equipment.
• Validate correct product and damage-free condition before shipping.
• Deliver products to the correct dock and shrink wrap palletized orders.
• Keep aisles clear and return pallet jacks to charging area.

Work Schedule: Sunday-Thursday. 5:30pm- until complete. 8-12 hr. shifts. Friday work based on business need during Peak season (May - Sept.)

The FIRST WEEK of new hire training is conducted during day shift (8 AM start time).

Start at $22.28 / hour. Eligible for Performance Pay incentives after 2-week training completed. Weekly Pay! New hires eligible for retention bonus, up to $5,000!

Main Ingredients of the Job

• Safely and accurately select customer orders. Build and wrap pallets to meet weekly standards for productivity and accuracy
• Perform pre-shift equipment checks and safely operate an electric pallet
• Carefully move products from racks to pallets directed by order selecting software and equipment
• Validate that correct product has been selected and is damage free
• Efficiently deliver products to correct dock area and shrink wraps palletized orders
• Team up to clear aisles of debris, stacks empty pallets from slots in aisle and return pallet jacks to charging area

Physical Requirements

• Comfortable working in a multi-temperature environment ranging from -5 degrees to over 100 degrees required
• Ability to lift/carry/push/pull 20 to 80+ lbs. of product repetitively; moving 1,000+ cases of product during each shift required

What You Bring to the Table

• Must be able to read and communicate in the English language such as to attend trainings, hold conversations, receive safety and job-related coaching, read labels, and enter information on reports if needed
• Able to work 8+ hour night shifts, typically Sunday - Thursday. At times weekends and holidays will required
• Recent experience (within past 6 months) in high endurance or highly physical activity or role preferred e.g. lifting/transferring patients, sports/fitness, farming, construction work, etc.
• Experience selecting large scale orders in a warehouse or distribution center environment preferred
• Experience operating motorized pallet jack or similar equipment preferred

C ompensation depends on relevant experience and/or education, specific skills, function, geographic location, and other factors as applicable by law. The expected base rate for this role is between $22.28 and $28.00. As applicable, this role may also receive overtime compensation, retention bonus, incentive compensation based on productivity and quality
