Job summary

Sysco Northeast RDC is seeking an Operations supervisor for night warehouse operations in Des Plaines, IL. You will oversee order selection, loading, stocking, and night forklift activities, ensuring safe and efficient performance.

Responsibilities include managing schedules, budgeted labor hours, equipment maintenance, and compliance with HAACP, food safety, and regulatory standards. You will lead staff and coordinate with safety and other departments.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and related experience.
• High school diploma or GED.
• 2 or 4-year college degree in Business Management, Supply Chain Management or similar major preferred.
• Powered Industrial Equipment Certification to be obtained within 3 months.
• Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business information and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Oversees night warehouse activities including order selection, replenishment and loading.
• Manages labor hours and consumables within budget; prepares schedules.
• Ensures safety, sanitation and regulatory compliance across night operations.
• Coordinates repairs and maintenance of equipment and systems.
• Reviews productivity reports and implements efficiency improvements.
• Maintains open communication with staff and enforces policies.
