Job summary

Sysco is seeking a warehouse associate for the night shift (11pm–7am, Sunday–Thursday) to load and unload product from trailers using PWMs and certified equipment. Work takes place in freezer, cooler and dry warehouse environments with extreme temperatures.

You will inspect trailers and products, reconfigure pallets, operate forklifts and other MHE, maintain safety, accuracy and productivity, and perform other warehouse duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must pass a functional capacity test.
• Must be able to work effectively in a team environment.
• Must be able to communicate effectively with supervision, management and co-workers.
• Must be able to observe and to communicate those observations verbally and in written form to others responsible for the equipment operation and maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Unload inbound foodservice product, supplies or equipment from trailers using PWMs and equipment, following PWMs to avoid damage.
• Reconfigure inbound pallets to meet storage requirements.
• Inspect product for shortages, damages, or quality issues and report to supervisor.
• Verify refrigerated and frozen product temperatures per PWMs and handle out-of-tolerance cases.
• Load product onto trucks per truck mapping and instructions, ensuring load stability and driver safety.
• Operate forklifts and other MHE safely, performing daily inspections.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of work areas and warehouse locations.
• Observe safety rules and report unsafe conditions to supervisor.
• Perform other warehouse duties as assigned.
