Job summary

McCormick & Company is seeking a full-time Utility Mechanic - 3rd Shift at the Flavor Manufacturing Center in Hunt Valley, MD. You will perform mechanical and electrical maintenance on production equipment, troubleshoot PLC/Ladder Logic/HMI, and mentor technicians to reduce downtime and improve reliability.

The role requires 3–5 years in an industrial maintenance setting, strong teamwork, and ability to work with GMP standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 3–5 years in Industrial Mechanic or Electrician role, preferably in food industry.
• Proficient in basic mechanical and electrical maintenance; basic PLC/Ladder Logic/HMI.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs and work at height; forklift certification.
• Must be able to work overtime and weekends as needed.

Responsibilities

• Perform mechanical and electrical duties including breakdown analysis and equipment rebuilds.
• Troubleshoot PLC/Ladder Logic/HMI and perform preventative and corrective maintenance.
• Coach and mentor maintenance technicians and junior staff.
• Investigate root cause failure analysis and implement resolutions.
• Read and interpret blueprints and manuals.
• Adhere to safety and GMP standards and report food safety issues.
