Job summary

McCormick & Company, Inc., a global leader in flavor, is seeking a full-time Utility Mechanic on the 3rd Shift. The role maintains packaging, blending and fermentation equipment, and completes preventive, predictive and corrective maintenance to established procedures.

Responsibilities include lubrication, equipment evaluation, troubleshooting and responding to trouble calls on production equipment. A high school diploma and 3 years of manufacturing maintenance experience are required, with

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 3 years maintenance experience in manufacturing.
• Ability to read and interpret multiple computerized data collection and data entry.
• Experience overhauling automated equipment and components.
• Experience with Preventive Maintenance practices.
• Ability to read Pneumatic, Hydraulic, and Electrical Schematics and drawings.
• Ability to perform basic math and read manuals and sketches.
• Strong problem-solving with attention to detail.
• Experience in high-volume, fast-paced environments.
• Flexibility with shift and workday assignments.

Responsibilities

• Lubricate, maintain and evaluate equipment; focus on grease replacement and lubrication systems.
• Join cross-functional teams and support production on the floor.
• Maintain and improve preventative maintenance sheets and daily checklists.
• Respond to trouble calls and hand off shifts with maintenance and production teams.
• Adapt to shifting schedules and overtime to meet business needs.
