Job summary

McCormick & Company, Incorporated is seeking a full-time Utility Mechanic for the Flavor Manufacturing Center in Hunt Valley, MD. The role focuses on mechanical and electrical maintenance to minimize downtime, with responsibilities including fault analysis, rebuilds, and continuous improvement.

The ideal candidate will have 3–5 years in an industrial maintenance role, basic PLC/Ladder Logic/HMI skills, and strong teamwork.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or high school equivalent.
• 3-5 years of experience in an Industrial Mechanic or Electrician role, preferably in the food industry.
• Knowledge of basic PLC/Ladder Logic/HMI, and fabrication.
• Familiarity with CMMS and Microsoft Office tools.

Responsibilities

• Perform mechanical and electrical duties including breakdown analysis and equipment rebuilds.
• Troubleshoot and maintain production equipment to reduce downtime.
• Coach and mentor Maintenance Technicians.
• Read blueprints and manuals; follow safety/GMP standards.
• Possess fabrication skills; proficiency with vacuum systems and pneumatics a plus.
