Job summary

Allied Universal, a leading security and facility services company, seeks an unarmed Security Officer in Houston, TX. You will perform patrols, monitor access, and provide friendly customer service while upholding company values.

This full-time position offers a daytime schedule with evening/night shifts. A valid driver’s license, ability to lift 20+ pounds, and a high school diploma are required; background checks and drug screening apply.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license required as per policy.
• Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• State, county, or city-issued security license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Must be at least 18 for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Background check and drug screening as required by law.
• Licensing requirements may be required prior to employment.
• Driver’s license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, employees, visitors, and delivery personnel by carrying out security-related procedures and location-specific policies.
• Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional manner following reporting protocols.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of production, storage, distribution, office, and perimeter areas.
• Monitor access points, visitor and contractor activity, and vehicle traffic per location procedures.
• Document observations and incidents and communicate information to leadership and location representatives.
