Job summary

Parkway of Wilmington is seeking a reliable Parts Driver to deliver and pick up parts and equipment for the dealership using a 26 foot box truck.

The role involves travel between Wilmington and Raleigh, loading/unloading at the Co-Op Warehouse, and basic vehicle maintenance. CDL not required. Position may be full-time or part-time based on candidate qualifications.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memos.
• Ability to present information effectively in one-on-one or small groups to customers and colleagues.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules and operating manuals.
• Must have a clean driving record for the last 3 years.
• Position can be full-time or part-time depending on qualified candidate.

Responsibilities

• Pick up truck from dealership and drive to Raleigh.
• Deliver COD envelope as required.
• Unload truck at the Co-Op Warehouse in Raleigh.
• Return to Wilmington to drop off the truck around 12:30 AM.
• Maintain basic truck upkeep: fuel, oil, DEF, cleaning, and inspections.
• Advise the parts manager if major repairs are needed.
• Other tasks as assigned.

JOB TITLE: Parts Driver

Summary

Delivers and picks up parts and equipment for the dealership in a 26 foot box truck.

Essential Duties

Pick up truck from dealership and drive to Raleigh

• Pick up loaded truck from dealership at 4:30PM and drive to Raleigh.
• Responsible for delivery of COD envelope.
• Unloads truck in Raleigh at the Co-Op Warehouse.
• Return to Wilmington to drop off truck around 12:30AM.
• Manages basic maintenance of the truck including filling tank with gas, checking oil and def fluid, keeping it clean and making sure required inspections are performed.
• Advises parts manager if delivery trucks need major repairs and maintenance.
• Other tasks as assigned.
