Job summary

Collins Aerospace is seeking an Electronics Technician for the Phoenix MRO to test and troubleshoot electronic units, set up test stands, and interpret complex data. The role is onsite, with a 3rd shift schedule from Monday to Thursday, 8:00 pm to 6:00 am, plus a daytime training period.

Candidates should be able to read schematics and use meters and scopes. External candidates will receive a $3,000 sign-on bonus.

Qualifications

• Typically requires HS diploma (or equivalent) or vocational/technical education with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience.
• Experience with reading or interpreting schematics, blueprints, or technical drawings.
• Experience with using multimeters or oscilloscopes.

Responsibilities

• Test a variety of electronic units using prescribed test procedures.
• Set up and operate test stands.
• Configure test equipment for special tests as needed.
• Interpret and record test results.
• Identify test equipment failures and troubleshoot.
• Read and interpret technical data such as manuals and schematics.
• Communicate work status to team members and support staff.
• Utilize theory of electronic circuitry and electrical components.
• Write clearly and concisely about technical topics.
