Job summary

Prime Healthcare's Sherman Oaks Hospital in Sherman Oaks, CA seeks a part-time Monitor Tech to support the nights shift and the inpatient care team. This role emphasizes indirect patient care and dysrhythmia monitoring under RN supervision.

You will document orders, verify tests, prepare records, assist with supplies, and help the nursing staff while ensuring patient safety and high-quality care.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent or related experience required for all new hires.
• Current Dysrhythmia Interpretation Certificate within 30 days of hire and maintain current.
• Current BLS (AHA) certificate upon hire and maintain current.
• Six months previous experience in Healthcare or as Monitor Technician.

Responsibilities

• Monitors cardiac rhythms via direct cardiac monitors.
• Transcribes physician orders in the absence of CPOE and EMR clinical documentation system.
• Verifies that lab tests and radiology tests have been ordered and done.
• Prepares and files records in the ER.
• Orders supplies for the unit and prepares patient charts daily.
• Able to assist nursing staff with indirect patient care duties as long as it does not distract from dysrhythmia monitoring.
