Job summary

Indiana University Health in Bloomington is seeking a part-time Surgical Technologist to support our OB Level II Labor & Delivery unit. You will assist before, during, and after surgical procedures, ensuring equipment and supplies are ready and properly organized for each operation.

This role requires a High School Diploma or GED, CST certification within four months, and BLS. You will work 2 night shifts (6:30pm–7:00am) and rotate weekends/holidays, with no mandatory on-call unless desired, in

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Certified Surgical Technologist (NBSTSA) within four months of employment.
• Basic Life Support Certification required.
• Ability to resource advanced technology.
• 15 CEUs annually as required by state law.
• Knowledge of surgical procedures to anticipate needs within 12 months.
• Knowledge of surgical equipment and instrumentation.
• Adherence to sterile field policies.

Responsibilities

• Assist before, during, and after surgical procedures in the OR.
• Ensure proper setup and turnover of surgical equipment and supplies.
• Support the surgeon, nurses, and anesthesia team as needed.
• Collaborate with the team for safe and efficient operations.
