Job summary

STO Building Group Careers is seeking an experienced Construction Project Manager to oversee electrical, mechanical, and plumbing coordination across commercial interiors projects. You will lead project teams, manage owner and tenant relations, and ensure timely documentation and reporting throughout the project lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management or construction science is preferred.
• 7+ years in commercial construction management.
• Experience with Procore, Bluebeam, and Microsoft Suite.

Responsibilities

• Oversee electrical, HVAC, and plumbing systems during project management.
• Manage all staff assigned to the project and relationships among the owner, tenants and professionals.
• Oversee timely and accurate completion of all project documentation and administration.
• Coordinate and manage mechanical, electrical and plumbing trades.
• Monitor schedules and spending related to the project.
• Prepare or review project reports, status updates and schedules.
• Review bid procedures, vendor and subcontractor qualifications, and final estimates.
• Review subcontractor and vendor invoices; approve payments or negotiate changes.
• Prepare and submit change orders for client and director approval.
• Ensure subcontractors are informed of all change orders.
• Prepare close-out documentation including warranties and record drawings.
• Ensure final payments are received and subcontractors are paid.

Job description

Responsibilities include but not limited to:

• Oversight of electrical, HVAC, and plumbing systems throughout the construction management process.
• Manage all staff assigned to project and relationship management among project owner, owner’s tenants and all professional groups involved.
• Oversee timely and accurate completion of all documentation and administrative aspects relating to project management execution.
• Oversee mechanical, electrical and plumbing trades and coordination
• Monitor schedules, spending and related.
• Complete or review project reports for accuracy, provide status and financial reports andproject schedules.
• Performs final review of constructions projects including bid reviews, bid procedures, vendor & subcontractor qualifications, final estimates, labor & materials takeoffs.
• Review of subcontractor and vendor invoices
• Approve payment or negotiate changes.
• Prepare and submit change orders for approval by clients and director of operations.
• Ensure subcontractors are advised of all change orders
• Prepare all close out documentation including warranty information, affidavits, record drawings,
• Ensure final payments are received from clients and appropriate invoices paid to subcontractors

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management or construction science is preferred
• 7+ years in commercial construction management
• Coming from the sub-contractor world, exposure to Corporate Interiors work desired.
• Experience with Procore, Bluebeam, and Microsoft Suite
