Responsibilities

• Achieves desired gross profit.
• Achieves desired level of productivity.
• Projects sales, product movement, labor needs.
• Manage and motivate staff, recruit staff, train and develop staff according to company policies and employment laws.
• Manage cash and payment systems with staff and customer safety as priority.
• Manage stock, merchandise and non-merchandise items, and report as necessary.
• Maintain and report on all equipment and fixtures on premises.
• Oversee health and safety, security, and emergency systems and staff awareness.
• Monitor competitor activity and communicate insights to Store Manager.
• Attend meetings and contribute to policy-making as required.
• Establish daily work assignments and priorities for store employees.
• Receive and unload truck deliveries and follow guidelines.
• Conduct store closing procedures.
