Job summary

Houchens Food Group is seeking a Night Manager to lead store operations during night shifts, ensuring profitability and efficiency. You will supervise staff, coordinate deliveries, manage cash, and uphold safety and security standards across all areas of the store.

The role requires strong leadership, HR compliance, and the ability to train and develop staff while maintaining exceptional store performance and customer service.

Qualifications

• Ability to lift and move items weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Speaks English fluently.
• Eyesight corrected to 20/20.
• Hearing corrected to normal range.
• Full range of motion on shoulders, arms, hands, legs and feet.
• Knowledge of total store operations.
• Follow safety policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Achieves desired gross profit.
• Projects sales, product movement, labor needs.
• Manage and motivate staff, recruit staff, train and develop staff, according to company policies and employment laws, and ensure HR procedures are followed.
• Establishes daily work assignments and priorities for store employees.
• Receives and unloads truck deliveries according to guidelines.
• Conducts store closing procedures.
• Manage cash and payment systems with staff and customer safety as priority.
• Maintain and report merchandise and non-merchandise stock.
• Ensure upkeep and condition of all equipment and fixtures on premises.
• Oversee health and safety, security, and emergency systems and staff awareness.
