Job summary

Asda Gravesend is seeking a Nights Manager to lead the night team and maintain top store standards while the world sleeps. You will ensure availability, safety and compliance across departments during the night shift, with a rolling rota of 4 nights over 7 including weekends.

As part of the leadership team, you will drive night trading activity, coach colleagues, and sustain a high level of customer service and operational excellence throughout the night shift.

Qualifications

• Experience supervising or managing teams in a retail grocery environment, ideally overnight.
• Ability to make decisions independently with a hands‑on attitude and a drive to improve processes and people.
• Flexibility to work a range of night shifts, including weekends.
• Strong customer service focus.

Responsibilities

• You will manage and lead the night team to keep everything running whilst the rest of the world sleeps, ensuring best availability and shop floor standards.
• You’ll be solely responsible for the store through the night, overseeing operation as the store is open 24 hours.
• Drive strategy into action by planning and executing all trading activity on the shopfloor during night shift.
• Lead and coach night colleagues and team leaders to deliver excellent shopfloor standards with a customer‑facing mindset.
