Job summary

Responsibilities

Create an environment where customers feel welcome and appreciated by answering questions about products.
Know products in department and respond to questions with suggestions.
Recommend grocery items and inform customers about specials.
Check product quality and dates to ensure freshness.
Label, stock, and inventory department merchandise; provide fresh products.
Report ordering/shipping discrepancies to the department manager.
Display a positive attitude and stay current with ads.
Adhere to all food safety regulations and maintain proper temperatures and logs.
Reinforce safety programs and report unsafe conditions to management.
Inspect equipment and notify managers of needed repairs.
Notify management of accidents and report safety risks or theft.
