Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 2–3 years of related retail experience.
• 1 year of management experience.
• Rotational assignments in store areas such as meat, bakery, produce and deli; customer service and product flow experience helpful.
• Clear, precise direction to team members; conflict resolution skills.
• Ability to analyze financial and statistical information to inform decisions; teach suggestive selling.

Responsibilities

• Staffing, selection and hiring to meet staffing needs.
• Mentor and coach team members; develop career paths and promotions.
• Oversee P&L, sales targets and shrink control.
• Model fast, friendly customer service and uphold Meijer standards.
• Ensure team training and Meijer Friendly Initiative across meetings and daily operations.
• Maintain safe work environment with reliable attendance.
