Job summary

Meijer Inc. is seeking a overnight shift supervisor to lead team members during the 10 PM – 7 AM schedule. You will mentor staff, staff the overnight team, interview and onboard, and drive customer service while maintaining store standards and inventory flow.

The role emphasizes safety, P&L awareness, and adherence to Meijer policies; you will train staff, supervise daily operations across departments, and support promotion decisions while ensuring a positive store image.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 2-3 years of related retail experience.
• One year of management experience.
• Rotational assignments in store areas and strong communication.
• Ability to resolve conflict and manage multiple tasks.
• Demonstrated leadership in safety and training.

Responsibilities

• Plan, direct, and supervise team members in overnight operations.
• Mentor and coach staff, aiming for improved customer service and sales.
• Staff the overnight team, interview and onboard to meet staffing needs.
• Promote succession planning and development of team members.
• Document disciplinary actions and advise on discharges.
• Responsible for P&L, sales, shrink, and store conditions.
• Open/close gas station and ensure safety during overnight shift.
• Unloading deliveries and using powered equipment.
