Job summary
Trinity Health in the Chicago area is seeking a Night Shift Stationary Engineer to operate and maintain boilers, HVAC systems, and medical gas/vac systems, ensuring safe, comfortable conditions for patients and staff. The ideal candidate has 2–3 years of hospital-plant experience, a high school diploma or equivalent, and boiler training; licensure as a Chicago Stationary Engineer is preferred.
Compensation ranges from $29.58 to $45.85 per hour, with shift differential, benefits from day one,
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; trade school or apprenticeship or associate degree equivalent.
- 2–3 years of experience with hospital steam plant equipment.
- Boiler training desired; City of Chicago Stationary Engineer license.
Responsibilities
- Operate and maintain steam boilers and HVAC systems in a hospital setting.
- Troubleshoot issues and facilitate repairs to maintain climate control.
- Perform preventive and routine maintenance on HVAC equipment.
- Document actions and monitor operating conditions for safety and compliance.
- Communicate professionally with staff and share information as needed.
