Job summary

Creative Dining Services is seeking an experienced Sous Chef to join our Kraft-Heinz facility dining team in Champaign, IL. The Sous Chef plans and directs food preparation, supervises staff, trains team members and ensures safe, timely service every night.

We operate a three-shift kitchen and currently lead the 3rd shift, Monday–Friday from 10:00pm to 4:00am. Requirements include 3+ years cooking, supervisory experience, a ServSafe certification, and a commitment to quality and customer

Qualifications

• 3+ years cooking experience.
• Supervisory experience required.
• ServSafe Certification required.
• High standards for professionalism and customer service.

Responsibilities

• Time food production so all food is ready at the time of service.
• Supervise and train staff.
• Read and understand Function Sheets for menus and time of functions.
• Produce and maintain prep sheets and duty rosters.
• Utilize batch cooking techniques to avoid over or under production.
• Open and/or close the kitchen as needed.
