Job summary

UCHealth Central Park Medical Center in Denver is seeking a Polysomnography Technologist for night shift. This onsite role involves preparing testing equipment, interviewing patients, and conducting sleep studies to diagnose sleep disorders.

The candidate will score and interpret results, educate patients on outcomes and resources, and maintain the testing equipment. Requires HS diploma and BLS; preferred RPSGT or RRT certification and state licensure as applicable.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Preferred: accredited Polysomnography or Respiratory Therapy program.
• Registered as Polysomnographic Technologist (RPSGT) or as Respiratory Therapist (RRT). State licensure if required.
• BLS/CPR certification through AHA or Red Cross before start date.

Responsibilities

• Prepare for patient testing by setting up equipment and interviewing the patient to determine sleep disorder issues and explain procedures.
• Perform sleep testing and any required additional tests.
• Score, interpret and report sleep study results; educate patients about results and resources.
• Maintain and calibrate testing equipment and report needed repairs or replacements.
• Work with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment and apply critical thinking.
