Job summary

Intermountain Health Lutheran Hospital in Wheat Ridge, Colorado seeks a sleep study technician to perform overnight polysomnographic studies and HSAT, monitor patients, and ensure accurate record-keeping. The role requires the ability to address technical and interpersonal problems and to score studies per AASM guidelines.

Qualifications

• High School Degree or GED.
• BLS Certification or RQI for Healthcare Providers.
• Current RPSGT/RST or Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) licensed in the state of practice, if required.

Responsibilities

• Perform overnight Polysomnographic studies, using PAP therapy interventions.
• Perform Home Sleep Apnea Tests (HSAT).
• Monitors and documents on patients undergoing physiologic studies.
• Monitors and tracks equipment and supplies.
• Completes record keeping and charting.
• Ability to address and solve both technical and interpersonal problems.
• Demonstrated communication skills.
• Ability to use computerized and mechanical equipment efficiently.
• Score Studies according to AASM guidelines.
• Obtain 10 Continuing Education Credits (CEC) related to sleep medicine annually.
• Provide supervision, mentorship, and orientation/ongoing education of the PSG Tech and PST CPSGT.
