Job summary

Sovah Health Danville is hiring a Sleep Technician to join the Pulmonology team on the full-time night shift. You will prepare equipment, interview patients, perform sleep studies, score and report results, and educate patients about sleep disorders and resources.

This role supports high-quality patient care in a hospital setting. Qualified candidates have a polysomnography program completion or equivalent experience, BLS certification, and at least two years of experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent and completion of a Polysomnography program or equivalent experience.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• Board of Registered Polysomnographic Technologists certification or equivalent.
• Registered Sleep Technologist (RPSGT) preferred.
• Minimum of two years of experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Sets up equipment and prepares for the sleep study.
• Interviews patients to determine sleep disorder issues and explain testing procedures.
• Performs sleep testing and any additional testing required.
• Scores, interprets, and reports sleep study results.
• Educates patients about test results and available resources.
