Job summary

Maola Local Dairies is seeking a Truck Spotter in High Point, NC for the 2nd shift (5:00 PM - 5:30 AM). The role involves safely moving trailers in the yard, staging for loading/unloading, and supporting dock operations to align with production and shipping schedules.

Requirements include a high school diploma or GED, a valid driver's license, and at least 1 year of yard truck experience. CDL is preferred but not required by all facilities. Full-time, on-site with competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Valid driver’s license (CDL preferred but not required, depending on state/facility requirements).
• Minimum 1 year of experience operating yard trucks, hostlers, or similar equipment.
• The ability to safely operate tractor-trailers and back trailers into tight dock spaces.

Responsibilities

• Follow all associated procedures (including FIFO procedures).
• Operate yard truck to move trailers to and from dock.
• Record trailer and seal numbers on all trucks and trailers after they are loaded.
• Provide the supervisor with a list of all seal numbers at the end of the day.
• Report all accidents immediately to the supervisor.
• Fuel all tractors and trailers as needed to maintain temperatures that are filled with product.
• Complete accident reports for insurance carriers.
• Monitor company-issued radio at all times during shift; return the radio to a battery charger at the end of each day.
• Responsible for recording hub mileage, fuel levels, temperature checks, and fuel pump readings.
• Monitor and adjust refrigerated trailer temperature settings per specific load requirements.
• Responsible for general housekeeping to ensure a clean, sanitary, and safe work area.
• Additional duties may be assigned
