Rea Magnet Wire Corp is seeking a Production Operator for the 12-hour Nights shift (2-2-3) in Lafayette, IN. Pay starts at $25/hour with progression based on qualifications.

The role involves setting up and operating wire insulation machinery, performing quality checks, and ensuring safety and housekeeping standards. The position requires a high school diploma or GED, basic computer skills, and ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and handle stress.
• Forklift certification within 90 days of employment.
• Basic computer skills required.
• Basic reading, writing and math skills.
• Must complete operator training and master required skills.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate taping machines to insulate aluminum and copper wire according to order specs.
• Perform first hour duties including Blue Card changes and equipment checks.
• Inspect dies, lube nozzles, enamel flow, and Lear heads for proper operation.
• Identify and document scrap wire; direct disposition when unsure.
• Complete changeovers, start-ups, and spec/package changes.
• Train Operators as assigned and maintain housekeeping standards.
