Cooper Steel South, LLC is seeking a Fitter/Welder with 2+ years of experience to join our team in Childersburg, Alabama. The role focuses on interpreting blueprints and applying welding techniques to meet high standards.

Starting pay is $27+ per hour with a $5 per hour shift premium for night shifts. Candidates should be proficient with MIG and flux-core welding, and able to read technical drawings and maintain safety and quality on the shop floor.

Qualificações

• 2+ years of welding experience required.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and drawings.
• Proficiency with flux-core and MIG welding processes.
• Ability to operate grinders and hand tools safely.
• Knowledge of safety standards and PPE use.
• Willingness to work overtime and flexible hours.

Responsabilidades

• Interpret blueprints to fabricate structural steel.
• Select welding method based on requirements.
• Set up welding equipment per specifications.
• Weld components in various positions using manual or semi-automatic equipment.
• Test welds and inspect for flaws.
• Maintain a safe and clean work area.
• Assist with crane operations if required.
