Job summary

Superior Industries in Nebraska seeks skilled welders to join our team. You will fit, tack, and weld steel parts to create sub-assemblies using FCAW & GMAW, reading blueprints and tolerances to exact standards.

Responsibilities include welding on steel from thin gauge up to 1" plate, preparing joints, and maintaining safety with cranes and forklifts. Prior 5+ years in fitting and ability to read drawings are preferred. Competitive benefits offered.

Qualifications

• Ability to weld in all positions, including overhead.
• Proficient in blueprint reading and interpretation.
• Read 1/8” and 1/16” gradations on tape measure.
• Experience with grinders, handheld plasma torch, oxyacetylene torch, and other related handtools.
• Capable of welding to 3G certification (AWS D1.1).
• Comfortable working with computer-based drawings and schematics.
• Preferred 5+ years of fitting experience.

Responsibilities

• Weld steel parts to create finished sub-assemblies per blueprints using FCAW & GMAW.
• Weld thin gauge to 1" plate.
• Prepare joints by cleaning surfaces, adjusting machine parameters, and selecting welding techniques.
• Produce high-quality welds meeting inspection and quality standards.
• Safely use and maintain welding equipment and follow safety rules for cranes and forklifts.
• Complete other tasks as needed.
