Job summary

Cornerstone Building Brands, Inc. is seeking a Fitter/Welder to support the Fortify Building Solutions team in Houston. You will weld and fit components, read blueprints, and adhere to safety rules in a manufacturing setting.

The role offers $23.00 per hour base pay plus $2.00 shift differential, with AWS and CWB certifications encouraged. Overtime potential exists; lifting to 75 pounds is required, and forklift/crane experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience welding and fitting in production environment or valid welding cert.
• Ability to read blueprints and drawings.
• Ability to obtain AWS and/or CWB certification per Cornerstone procedures.
• Lifting up to 75 pounds routinely; forklift/crane experience a plus.

Responsibilities

• Follow safety rules and maintain a safe manufacturing area.
• Interpret blueprints and determine parts required.
• Fit up components and weld according to specs and tolerances.
• Maintain equipment, assist Team Leader with shortages or discrepancies.
