Job summary

Cornerstone Building Brands in Houston, TX is seeking a skilled Fitter/Welder to join our manufacturing team. The role requires welding and fitting skills, reading blueprints, and adherence to safety protocols. Overtime is possible depending on orders and season.

You will work on the 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM day shift, with opportunities for overtime and longer shifts as needed. Training and certification support are available to advance in your career.

Qualifications

Associates degree or equivalent from a 2-year College or technical school.
1–3 years welding experience or equivalent in manufacturing.
Ability to read blueprints and interpret technical drawings.
Strong math skills and ability to perform basic calculations.
Ability to communicate information effectively one-on-one and in small groups.

Responsibilities

Weld and fit parts to specifications and maintain tolerances.
Interpret blueprints and select required components.
Measure, mark, and locate parts; report shortages to Team Leader.
Assemble sub‑assemblies using clamps and handling equipment.
Operate power tools and manual equipment; ensure safety compliance.
