Job summary

Cornerstone Building Brands, Inc. in Houston, TX, is hiring a Fitter/Welder for night shift to join our manufacturing team. The role requires welding and fitting skills, reading blueprints, and maintaining safety standards on a 8–12 hour shift.

You will work with rigid frame components, participate in quality checks, and pursue AWS/CWB certifications as needed. The position offers competitive hourly pay with a $2 shift differential, full-time benefits from day one, and opportunities for overtime

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• At least 1 year welding and fitting experience in a production environment or a welding certification.
• Ability to read blueprints/drawings.
• Ability to obtain and maintain CWB and AWS welding certifications.
• Forklift/overhead crane operation is a plus.
• Ability to lift up to 75 pounds repeatedly.

Responsibilities

• Weld and fit components per specifications and blueprints.
• Ensure safety rules and precautions in a manufacturing environment.
• Achieve and maintain AWS and CWB certifications.
• Read and interpret work orders, blueprints and drawings to determine parts.
• Position sub-assemblies and use clamps and handling equipment as required.
• Use tools and equipment to join parts within tolerances.
