Job summary

AKG North America in Mitchell, SD is seeking a Welder-Soldador for the 3rd shift (10 PM–6 AM). You will operate welding equipment to weld tanks and attach parts to cores according to blueprints, supporting the production line.

The ideal candidate has formal welding training or an apprenticeship, and can read detailed work orders and blueprints. Safety, quality, and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• Formal welding training completed or equivalent.
• Apprenticeship or on-the-job welding training required.
• Experience reading detailed work orders and blueprints.
• Ability to stand and lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Read blueprints and work orders to weld components per instructions.
• Move the core into/out of the welding booth using a chain hoist and place it on the turntable.
• Weld tanks to the core and perform wash-down after welding.
• Document and stamp the cooler once welding is finished.
• Meet production quotas and maintain a safe, clean work area.
