Job summary

Dawn Foods is seeking a Wastewater Treatment Coordinator for its Louisville, KY facility. You will operate and optimize the wastewater treatment process, collect samples, monitor SCADA systems, and coordinate maintenance to ensure compliance and efficiency.

This 24/7 role requires hands-on lab work, P&ID reading, and strong attention to safety and documentation. You’ll train staff and uphold regulatory standards in a dynamic baking operation.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Associate degree in Environmental Science or related field preferred.
• Wastewater Operator Certification, minimum Level II, required.
• 2+ years operating industrial wastewater treatment systems.
• Ability to read P&IDs and electrical schematics with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Operate and optimize wastewater treatment processes and related equipment.
• Collect samples and perform lab analyses for permit parameters.
• Monitor SCADA, respond to alarms, adjust process conditions.
• Coordinate preventive and corrective maintenance with Maintenance.
• Maintain chemical inventories and safe handling of treatment chemicals.
• Complete daily operation logs and discharge reports.
• Ensure compliance with permits, environmental and OSHA requirements.
• Train maintenance personnel on alarm response during unmanned shifts.
• Maintain safe, clean work environment around the facility.
• Participate in root cause investigations and cost improvement efforts.
