Job summary

Dawn Foods is seeking a Production Coordinator for the 2nd shift in Louisville, KY to lead daily production activities, monitor quality and efficiency, and ensure GMP and safety compliance. The role includes training new hires and setting up lines for product runs.

The position requires supervisory experience in manufacturing, strong communication, and familiarity with SAP ERP. Ongoing teamwork and adherence to company policies are essential for success in this onsite role.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Experience in a manufacturing or similar environment.
• Experience in a lead or supervisory role, or equivalent leadership, coaching, and team support experience, required.
• Experience with SAP or comparable ERP platforms.
• Ability to communicate effectively with fellow employees.

Responsibilities

• Direct day-to-day activities of the team, communicate daily production schedule and expectations.
• Monitor the process in relation to product standards and efficiencies, assign duties, ensure line rotation where applicable.
• Train new hires, retrain, and onboard new team members.
• Assist and have working knowledge of all areas of the process.
• Set up line for specific product run, including required packaging, labels, toppings, fillings, and all other required items pertinent to specific line requirements and product specifications.
• Participate in production activities as needed to support staffing and operational needs.
• Completion of paperwork, effective operation of hand-held scanner to record finished product.
• Effectively communicate with supervisor and team.
