Job summary

Veolia Group is seeking a Wastewater Plant Operator to oversee and optimize the treatment process at a Greendale, IN facility. Responsibilities include controlling pumps, motors, and valves, testing samples, and ensuring regulatory compliance during 12-hour night shifts.

The role requires a high school diploma (licensing preferred) and strong teamwork, communication, and mechanical skills. Expect exposure to outdoor conditions and various hazards with opportunities for growth and development

Qualifications

• Proficiency with Google Suite and Microsoft Office.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn Wastewater processes.
• Ability to take instructions and work in a team with independent judgment.

Responsibilities

• Operate and control wastewater treatment systems and equipment across 12-hour night shifts.
• Test and analyze wastewater samples; adjust processes to maintain compliance.
• Maintain records and generate operating reports for Veolia and clients.
• Coordinate with management and clients for maintenance and equipment scheduling.
• Assist with maintenance tasks including pump repair and valve replacement.
• Support EPA/state reporting and data collection as required.
